Information on Requesting a Chapter

Starting a new Chapter of Lion's Heart is easy!  

If there is not a local chapter in your city, it’s simple to involve your teens in Orange County and national volunteer projects by starting a Lion’s Heart chapter of your own.  We provide free online training for all Class Coordinators and Chapter Presidents.   The tee shirts and Member folders provided to each Member upon assignment into a group, are shipped directly from Lion's Heart offices.  It couldn't be any easier!

To start a chapter, you just need to start with at least four teens in the same grade/gender and have a desire to volunteer in Orange County or anywhere in the USA!  A parent volunteer serving as Class Coordinator is also needed to oversee the group.

Volunteer Opportunities for Teens in Orange County and Across the USA – Request a Lion’s Heart Chapter

There are several volunteer opportunities for teens in Orange County and across the nation. Lion’s Heart is happy to facilitate these volunteer efforts through our local chapters.

Each National and Orange County Teen volunteer pays membership dues which include:

• Lion’s Heart logo tee shirt
• Member folder
• Group page with individual volunteer logs, meeting minutes, and photos of group and individual award winners
• President’s Volunteer Service Awards (for national and Orange County volunteers meeting the requirements)
• Lion’s Heart Torchbearer Trophy for each Lion’s Heart national and Orange County volunteer group
• Golden Lion Award for all High School Seniors who have been a volunteering member of Lion’s Heart for all six year.
• An annual Awards Event to honor our teen volunteers and highlight the benefits of teens volunteering in Orange County and across the USA (for chapters with 150+ Members).

Teens volunteering in Orange County and across the nation will never have to worry about where or how to get started. Each teen volunteer will have the satisfaction of helping others in their own community and will readily see the positive results of their efforts.
