We make it easy to get started as a national or Orange County volunteer with Lion’s Heart! You can join an existing chapter, or request to start your own to get involved in national or Orange County teen volunteer opportunities.

We know many simply have a desire to help others, and we welcome your enthusiasm!

All of our national and Orange County teen volunteers make a difference and enjoy the volunteer activities with friends.

Other benefits include opportunities for leadership and awards and recognition. Our Membership dues are inexpensive, and we will train you on maximizing the volunteer opportunities for teens in Orange County and throughout the US.

Are You Eligible to Join?

It’s very easy to meet our eligibility requirements to join Lion’s Heart. With as few as four teen volunteers, you can begin a group to reach out to your city. Of course, there are a few rules to make sure our national and Orange County teen volunteers and our community have a positive experience.

What’s the Process to Join?

The first step is enrolling in our program. Enroll between 12:00 A.M. on February 1st and midnight on August 1st, and we will contact you starting in late April.

The Chapter President will assign you to a group of Orange County teen volunteers or help you begin a new chapter elsewhere in the country and give you information for your required meetings.

Parents do not have to be involved, and there is no fundraising; Teens just give back – it’s that simple! You will volunteer with friends on a flexible schedule, supporting your favorite charities.

Lion’s Heart has worked with top organizations like the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, Education for the Children, The Rotary, Bethany’s Gate, Boys and Girls Town, Orange County Food Bank, National Beach Clean Ups, Surfrider Foundation, Capo Unified School District, Saddleback Valley School District, Bell Tower Regional Community Center, Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach, Rose Parade, Adopt-A-Beach, and American Red Cross Blood Drives.

Emma Liegler works to dig up radishes and other vegetables at the Incredible Edible Park in Irvine. These national and Orange County teen volunteer opportunities are amazing, and yet our teens are finding even MORE they can do!

Our teens seek out volunteer opportunities in Orange County and across the USA by talking to their parents, checking newspapers and online media outlets, and asking their school for any ideas. With the speed of social media and other online sources, our teens and Class Coordinators can find a volunteer opportunity fast!

Lion’s Heart emails Members with new ideas and community needs several times a month to make sure every teen has plenty of opportunities to volunteer in Orange County and nationally.
